Not only is the Vonada Stone Company located in the heart of Post Rock Country in the Smoky Hills, it is also on a 3rd generation working family farm.

Tours are given upon request (by reservation) for a cost of $6 per person or $5 per person if your group consists of over 20 people.  To our store purchasing customers we will gladly give you a sightseeing tour of the complex operation.

We still use the feather and wedge method to split the rock in the limestone quarry.  A visit to the Vonada Farm and Stone Co. captures the history of the area.

We are located 6½ miles north and ½ west of Sylvan Grove, or just 18½ miles north of I-70 if you take exit 209.  If, instead, you take the 206 exit on I-70 you will travel along the beautiful Kansas Post Rock Scenic Byway that goes by Wilson Lake and add only a few more miles to your trip.  Map
